Born and raised in the UK, Edward attended the University of Westminster, where he co-founded its first entrepreneurial society and graduated with a BA (Hons) in International Business.
He is proud of his Bolivian roots and maintains a strong connection to its culture. Today, he works to strengthen the bond between Bolivian and UK cultures as a volunteer Communications Officer at the Anglo-Bolivian Society, a role which puts him at the heart of the UK Latin American community.
When not socialising, dancing, learning about new cultures he keeps up to date with Latin American’s Economy and Political affairs. Edward, also spent the last couple of years forging a career as a Data Analyst within the Asset Management Industry enhancing his skills and future career prospects. Most recently he took up a personal challenge and transitioned into the Tech Industry, switching into a fully remote based world. His skills in technology and data have proved invaluable to LCN. If it wasn’t for his know-how, the charity could never have thrived in our tech-driven, remote working world.
Angela moved to the UK from Copacabana in Bolivia when she was 10. Adjusting to life in the UK came with a slew of challenges, but she made the best of it, graduating from Birkbeck University of London with a law degree while holding a full-time job.
Education means a lot to Angela, which is why—in addition to working as a Data Protection Specialist at a local authority—she is currently studying for her postgraduate in Data Protection Law and Information Governance at the University of Northumbria.
Needless to say, all that education and experience means LCN is no slouch when it comes to the legal side of things, not that Angela can’t unwind when work is done. In her free time. She loves keeping her legs moving, both as a traveller and runner; in fact, she’s even participated in several half and full marathons. She is also a member of England Athletics through her running club and loves cooking fresh meals.
Paola is LCN’s charity coordinator, marketing, and events expert. Born in Bolivia and raised in the USA, she moved to the UK in the early 2000s and quickly gravitated toward the charity sector. Through over 8 years of charity experience and 2 years volunteering for the Metropolitan Police Westminster’s Domestic Violence Unit, she picked up the skills necessary to manage and promote a successful charity.
Until March 2021, she also worked as the Latin America and Caribbean Regional Operations Coordinator for Alpha International, a charity-driven to facilitate religious education.
Today, Paola is studying MSc in Fundraising and Marketing for the Charity Sector at City University
